Best way to connect in the field (no Wi‑Fi infrastructure)
Field networking options: cellular dongle, hotspot, or Jetson AP for local control.
For outdoor/field deployments (no existing Wi‑Fi), you have three main options:
1) Plug a 4G/5G USB cellular dongle into the Jetson
- Provides internet for Supabase auth and enables remote access (if configured)
2) Mount a dedicated mobile hotspot on the robot
- Connect both Jetson and laptop to the same local network
3) If you only need local LoS control and have disabled Supabase auth, configure Ubuntu on the Jetson to act as a Wi‑Fi hotspot
- Your laptop connects directly to the Jetson’s broadcast network (no extra hardware)
