Recommended slicer settings for printing the BotBrain enclosure (PLA/PETG)
Recommended print settings for strength (≥30% infill, gyroid/cubic, 0.2mm).
Because the enclosure protects expensive compute hardware and is mounted on a robot (vibration + occasional impacts), strength matters.
Recommended:
- Infill: ≥ 30%
- Infill pattern: Gyroid or Cubic (good strength in multiple directions)
- Layer height: 0.2 mm (good balance of strength and print time)
20% infill may look fine, but 30%+ provides noticeably better rigidity for protecting the Jetson and RealSense cameras.
