When will BotBrain Pro be available?
BotBrain Pro is in initial release and in project. We run pilot projects based on demand and availability.
Getting started with BotBrain Pro
From unbox to first teleop for BotBrain Pro units, including Fleet adopt and Global Data Relay.
Can I use voice or natural language?
Yes. AI chat for natural language; Pro hardware can add audio array voice when enabled.
What payload attachment system does BotBrain Pro use?
A proprietary quick-release payload connector for power and gigabit data, without DIY wiring.
What connectivity options does BotBrain Pro support?
WiFi 6, 3G to 5G, GPS RTK, Bluetooth, LoRa, and ZigBee mesh; your unit may ship a subset.
Joystick or gamepad does nothing
Check gamepad permissions, unlock state, speed, and that your user has can_control.
Can I expose rosbridge on the public internet myself?
No. Use Global Data Relay or a VPN. Open 9090 without auth is unsafe.
How does teleoperation talk to the robot?
The UI publishes velocity and actions over rosbridge into twist_mux on the robot.
What payloads are available?
ZoomZoom and CamCam today, plus delivery and other modules described on the products page.
Why do I need to pick a robot model during adoption?
The Brain is chassis-agnostic at the factory. The model selects the correct ROS packages and UI profile.
What is the serial number format?
Customer units use printed serials such as BB-2607-0003. Always use the enclosure label.
What about local LAN control?
Lab setups can still use ws://ip:9090 on the Jetson site LAN IP, not the robot-link subnet.
How do I add a new BotBrain Pro unit to my account?
Use Fleet Add Robot with serial and chassis model, then complete the Wi-Fi QR provisioning step.
Connection times out off-site
Confirm robot uplink, relay services, and that your browser can reach the BotBot proxy domain.
How do I remove or resell a robot?
Remove it from Fleet so old relay secrets are invalidated, then the next owner adopts fresh.
What URL should Fleet use for a managed Pro robot?
Managed robots use wss://serial-lowercase.proxy.botbot.bot with a short-lived token.
Can I change Wi-Fi later?
Yes. Reconfigure regenerates a QR; the robot is offline until it scans the new code.
How do I drive the robot for the first time?
After Get Up, Unlock, then use joystick, keyboard, or gamepad at low speed.
How do I connect with Global Data Relay?
Managed robots use a serial-based secure WebSocket. You do not open inbound ports.
Which ports does BotBrain Pro use?
Local rosbridge is 9090. Relay uses an auth proxy and outbound TLS to BotBot.
Robot stands but will not move
Unlock after Get Up. Confirm E-Stop is clear and your user can control.
What is the Global Data Relay?
Encrypted remote access so you can monitor and command robots without opening site inbound ports.
How do I adopt a BotBrain Pro robot into Fleet?
Serial plus robot type, then a Wi-Fi QR the robot scans in setup mode.
Dashboard is connected but telemetry does not update
Often a DDS or network-interface issue. Contact support with serial and whether you are on relay or LAN.
How much does BotBrain Pro cost?

Which robot models are supported?
Go2, Go2-W, Tita, G1, and K1, with Spot and T1 coming soon. Custom ROS 2 integrations through BotBot.
What is the Open Source to Pro upgrade path?
Start on Open Source, then move to Pro. BotBot helps with the migration and upgrade.
What are the differences between BotBrain Open Source and BotBrain Pro?
Open Source covers core ROS 2, cameras, nav, and fleet. Pro adds extra features, dedicated support, and custom development.
What is BotBrain Pro?
BotBrain Pro (BrainPro) is the Pro edition of BotBrain with extra features, support, and custom development.
Does BotBrain Pro work completely offline?
Yes. AI, navigation, and missions run on the robot with no uplink required.
What compute does BotBrain Pro use?
Pro units currently ship with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin. Jetson Thor is planned for a future generation.
